In the trailer he appears to be a principal suspect in Rita’s murder, struggles to satisfy the Dark Passenger while being a single father, and must also contend with a very bitter Astor.

Showtime renewed Dexter for a fifth season. The premiere episode is set to premiere on September 26, 2010. Julia Stiles is scheduled as a guest star in 10 episodes this season as a new woman in Dexter’s life and Shawn Hatosy will appear in a few episodes as a bad guy. Set to join the cast is Maria Doyle Kennedy as an Irish Nanny and April Lee Hernandez will have a recurring role as a police officer. Jonny Lee Miller was added to the cast as well as Peter Weller who will join the cast as a troubled Miami Metro police officer. Chris Vance will also be in some episodes in the upcoming season.
